These two have been seen there a lot, probably the same:


Posing, but almost impossible to get both on the photo in this case. They did not even look at us, and were less than 5 meters from the road. Coming from Olifants just before the Lookout point. This photo was made in 2004, but Madach and PhilQ have on later trips seen them there as well.

Saw one on the S39 last year. Pulled over to have a better view. A south african stopped and asked what I was looking at! I proudly pointed at my spot. "oooh a steenbokkie, he said and off he went..."

Has anybody seen any on Table Mountain since they were released in place of the tahrs?

I once saw a couple in Kruger very far from any mountainous areas and they were moving fast

There are a number of koppies where klipspringers can be found just after afsaal ( heading north ) - the weird ground cover is also worth taking a look at

Look out for the lone sentry klipspringers usually post to keep a look out for predators - can usually be seen on a prominent rock

Also at the north end of the Timbavati Road on those rocks...didnt see them last time though.

I very often find Klipspringer at the junction of the Napi road and the H3. One of many sightings there.

Go and look for a klipspringer with very very long horns on the second dirt road as you enter the park at Numbi gate. There is one with very long horns on that koppie.
I wasn't able to photograph him yet but that is also one of my missions.
