We just had a wonderfull trip to what I think is SANParks best hidden secret: Mountain Zebra National Park.

The only thing that we missed was a sighting board. Any reason why there isn't one?

Henk, I must agree. We spent Sat & Sun night there & missed a sightings board as well. Could have done with knowing where the black rhino & cheetah were spotted, especially the kills of springbok.

They could have smaller rarities sightings included on the board as well (birds, small mammals etc)

Actually would have liked to share our sighting of an aardwolf there with others as well.

One of the attractions of MZNP for me is the closing of the gates at 7pm from 1 October. You can do your own dusk/night drive.

Last weekend it was still 6:00pm for the gate, but it was getting dark from 6:30 and you need to be in camp at 7:00pm. We also saw the Aardwolf in that time.

You'll be pleased to know that a sightings board for MZNP is already part of our plans for this year so it should be in place before 2010.

We have been to MZNP twice in the past month. These were our first visits and thoroughly enjoyed them. However we did not see any sightings board. All that we found was a book where one can write sightings of cheetah.

Is the board up?

Still trying to find the cheetah and rhino!!! Going back in 2 weeks time.

The sightings board is now up in the Park for everyone's use.
