Oh wow that is something I want to see still. We did have a fleeting sight of one a few years back but not even enough time to pick up the camera.

We saw a serval whilst on the night-drive from Letaba in November  - unfortunately too far to get a photogrpah. :( Also saw Side-striped Jackal and African Wild Cat (right at the entrance to the camp) on same drive, which was a bonus.

The only wild serval i've seen during the day was on the S28, and before I realized what was happening, it got away... :wall:

Once went on a night drive from Croc Bridge with some guests and we had 3 separate serval sightings

Spotted late afternoon in July 2011 a couple of km outside Crocodile Bridge Gate  . We saw the Seval cross the road for only a few seconds before it disappeard into the African Bush.

Have no pics of a serval. :( Only sighting was of the back half of a serval on the way to Berg en Dal last year. We had to ring ahead as we arrived late after dark. Following the Sanparks vehicle in and only about 1km from the park gate i just saw the hindquarters and tail as it went into the grass on my drivers side. I REALLY wanted to stop and see if we could still see it with a torch but of course the SP car was disappearing off into the distance!

Great serval sightings

That is one cat I have never seen in the hide, and every time I go to Kruger it is the very top if my "to seek" list....

I was fortunate enough to hand-raise one that got washed up by floods a few years ago. The kittens' eyes weren't even open when I found it half drowned. It stayed for a year and then left on its'own. Still see it on the farm every now and then. The hearing of these cats are phenominal! Fantastic animals 8)

Gosh Roan, what an incredible experience. 8) I love their movement. I think that a Serval pounce must be one of the most graceful movements in the world.
