This "pond" was as deep as it looks in the picture but the rhinos still enjoyed it during the heat of the day.

Heres what happens when you have too long a lens! This is from Timbavati, one of the private game reserves on the edge of Kruger. Their operation has the attraction that you can walk there, we had a girl with us carrying a rifle (rather carelessly) . The first thing that happened was that we came out into an opening and met a herd of Buffalo head on, and had to beat a hasty retreat. Then she got on the walky-talky and herded us along to a place where the rhino was reported, we were able to get very close where she couldn't smell us (presumably because they are fairly blind). It was all very exciting but our Rhino sighting in the Kruger park was a memory I cherish too because it felt so much more genuine.

This little video shows some White Rhino that we saw on a Bush Walk near Olifants camp. The best way to experience the bush.

Hello and welcome, BigJ!

I think what you are trying to say is that you used to have the privilege of being a field guide etc! 8)

That was some record!
