Where was this footprint found? I would go for a Lion or a Hayena (Spotted)
I am not sure If I sax claws or not. Is it the only Picture? Without other Pictures it is difficult to help you. I am sure that a Leopard track is much smaller!

Best Regards Malealea

Hey guys I think Rumuruti's first pic is the spoor of Spotted Hyena! Doesnt look like leopard to me. I could be wrong though and maybe if anyone can confirm if its a leopard?
Hyenas spoor is more angular (in relation to direction in which it walks) and the ridges are more prominent between the toe and heel area. The claws dont always form visible prints in the sand.
Also the leopard's spoor has a classical trailing edge kind of like a smoothened reverse 'w' as well as being more symmetrical in shape overall.

sorry for the quality of this pic. I believe it is Lion spoor, taken at a lookout point high on a koppie not far from Skukuza. I think it's called Mathekenyane look out

@Lockie,

That is not a Lion track, a Lion track ist much bigger. I would go for a Wild dog or a Cheetaah. Did you see any Claws?
