I saw a photo of a baby elephant dieing and decided to write this,it is a story of life....

Death of something beautiful…

It brings you to realization that not everything in the nature is beautiful...but when you witness a new life beginning it is one of lives most precious moments…and even if this is one of lives saddest…you always have to remember that with the death of one animal…it can change the lives of many others…
Even if it bring tears to your eyes to see a magnificent Kgalagadi king let out its last breath and shut its eyes forever…you will never forget that moment where the baby leopard jumps from the bushes playing with its mother and its gracious eyes stealing your heart. Full of life and a whole life time waiting.
When the martial eagle swoops in and makes prey of what was a young meerkat it is a sad moment but…it brings happiness when you see the fluffy chick feeding hungrily at the food that it has been served.
Even if the great migration begins with 1 million wildebeest, 500 000 zebra and 100 000 regular game the journey is life threatening and about 250 000 wildebeest die…but in a time of 2-3 weeks about 500 000 calves are born and when the first few steps are taken by a wildebeest calf there’s no stopping it when danger strikes.
We don’t always want to see the pain, the sorrow, heart break and sadness experienced by animals…but sadly it is part of life and when life hits you only the strongest stay standing.

Hi thank you, it is true only a few words can change something big!!!

Here is another Rooiputs story I would like to share!!!

We stayed at rooiputs in July at campsite number 6...my mom, dad and sister in the trailer tent (rooftop) and one of my dad’s work colleges (Kobus) that also came with slept in a ground tent, with my new ground tent next to his...the one night we ate early to get to bed, so we could get up early, just before bed we made jokes about lions (some can not be repeated here).
We had a peaceful night except for the LOUD snores coming from the Trailer tent(it sounded like a choir)...At about 2.30 I woke up from lions roaring about 80m from us and in-between the roars I would call my parents so they could also hear it, but I got NO response except for more snores...and after another loud set of roaring I finally un zipped my tent-stuck my head out and called extra hard...FINALLY they woke up but then(Murphy’s law)the lions didn't make a sound!!!!My mom asked if I wanted to go and sleep in the trailer tent with them(as it was my first time alone in a ground tent)but I said no its ok(it was SOO cool feeling so close to the lions)but just after I answered KObus said he would
I told him it was ok!!!The lions probably just moved through the camp...

But the worst part was at 3 o'clock I had to go to the bathroom :hmz:

Hope to hear some stories!!!!!
