The images of a darted hornbill were taken in Savute Campsite in Botswana. However the Greater Blue-eared Glossy Starling was photographed at the Cafeteria at Skukuza Rest Camp during August 2006. We are informed that such blow pipes are sold in miscellaneous curio and hunting shops to children as they require no license.
If you are in any national park and see signs of wildlife (dead or alive) with darts, or witness any persons with a blow pipe or similar weapon please report it to the nearest camp management and if possible notify either Chris Patton or Raymond Travers
