The Park Forum Steering Committee is a public advisory body to the Park and consists of 17 portfolios. Each portfolio is represented on a voluntary basis by a member of the public who was nominated through consensual agreement after a series of public meetings involving over 100 stakeholder organisations.

Each representative is an expert in their field and deeply committed to working with TMNP Management to help build support for biodiversity conservation as well as to ensure that the Park is managed for the benefit of the citizens of Cape Town, South Africa and the world.

The Steering Committee operates independently to Park Management and is also responsible for raising public grievances. The committee is not a decision making body offers advice and presents arguments and issues to Park Management to assist them in their decision making processes.

Chaired by Augustine Morkel the Steering Committee meets with Park Management on a quarterly basis with an annual plenary session held every December which is open to all members of the public. Aside from these regular meeting portfolio representatives also sit on various working groups with in the Park providing the benefit of their expertise.
